If you have already tried enabling SMTP Authentication and it still won't allow you to send email, then go into your e-mail settings and change the SMTP port from 25 to 587.

This article was written to explain the new e-mail anti-spam and anti-virus system that became effective November 28th, 2005.

About the software.
Name of software: Imail Anti-Spam Service
Vendor: Imail - www.ipswitch.com

What happens to the messages if they are triggered as spam or a virus?
There are 3 possibilities here.
1. If it's a known virus, it's deleted immediately.
2. If it's an attachmentthe spam filters will take the message and wrap in an attachment and send it to you with a warning that the attached message could be dangerous and to be careful.
3. Most messages suspected as being spam are simply marked as such in the subject line and forwarded to you. They are not automatically deleted because no system is perfect and there are possibilities of false positives.
Example: [SPAM-blacklisted], [SPAM-blocked] and several others. This will tell you what triggered the anti-spam servcie to mark it as spam. You have the option to create a rule in your e-mail program to filter these marked messages. Simply create a rule telling your mail program to send all mail marked as "[SPAM" in the subject line to a junk mail folder or other folder for your review at a future time. Note: You should periodically check your junk mail folder for legitimate messages. If after several weeks, you find no false positives in your junk mail folder, then you can probably start to just delete the spam messages as they arrive. On the other hand, no anti-spam system is perfect, so you will more than likely have a 1 to 2% false positive rate.
