ALL SYSTEMS ARE RUNNING NORMALLY

9/23/08 - 1:30pm - This morning we experienced an outage at one of our California datacenters. All servers are back online at this time. Any e-mail sent during the outage was queued on the senders mail server and will be delivered.

Following is a brief chronology of the outage. All times in the following are Pacific Time.
This morning at approximately 2:50AM the datacenter experienced a severe power outage which caused air conditioning failures. While the servers continued to operate on generator power, the A/C units did not. We had staff onsite evaluating the issues within minutes. At 4:30AM due to quickly rising temperatures, our systems began gracefully shutting themselves down in this datacenter to prevent hardware failures and potential data loss . Power and air conditioning were restored at 5:50AM and we began restarting servers by 6:00AM. While there were a few glitches on power-up on some systems, all servers were powered back on by 9:00AM and we began verifying critical functionality.
